Native Bee House

Our native bee nesting boxes are handmade out of cedar, which is naturally rot-resistant, at our nursery. Each nesting box is attractive, unique, and designed with bee health as the top priority. We use only paper or reed nesting tubes, not bamboo, which is a poor choice for bee health. Bee houses (sometimes called bee hotels) support the native bee species that prefer to nest in tube-like structures that naturally occur in the wild. When considering purchasing a nesting box, know that they are not “set it and forget it” – they do require some care, although it is very simple. With a little care and attention, this will be a rewarding and fascinating addition to your habitat. Best hung in a place that gets morning sun and afternoon shade. Comes with installation and maintenance instructions and a set of replacement nesting tubes. These do not ship but can be picked up at the nursery.
