Lycium pallidum

Related to goji berry, Wolfberry is a thorny shrub that provides excellent shelter and food (berries) for birds as well as early season flowers for native bees and butterflies. In the wild, it grows in desert grasslands, riparian areas, and pinon and juniper woodlands. It grows moderately fast. In a garden, this can be planted closely to create a shrubby, scrubby hedge.
