Purple flower spikes made up of many tiny blooms. Provides a long nectar season for bumblebees, hummingbirds, and butterflies. Foliage smells like anise or licorice. Easy to grow, easy to transplant, and can bloom in its first year. Leaves are used to make tea. Deer resistant. drought-tolerant once established.
