Agastache foeniculum

Anise hyssop’s purple flower spikes are made up of many tiny blooms. They provide a long nectar season for bumblebees, hummingbirds, and butterflies. Foliage smells like anise or licorice. Easy to grow, easy to transplant, and can bloom in its first year. Leaves are used to make a delicious anise flavored tea. Deer resistant. Drought-tolerant once established. There’s a lot to love about this plant that is just as at home in the herb garden as the pollinator garden.
