Salvia azurea

Blue sage is a showstopper of a late season bloomer. Its tall, blue, almost translucent, aromatic flowers add some wonderful color variety to the many yellow blooms of fall. They also provide a nectar that attracts many bees and butterflies. It prefers medium to dry soils and can grow in clay soil as long as it is well drained clay and/or kept fairly dry once established.
