Also known as tickseed, this plant is cheerful and easy to grow. It will produce 1 1/12″ wide yellow blooms on long slender stems. Deadheading results in a longer bloom period. Grows well in any soil including clay, but will thrive in a well-drained soil. Attracts native bees. Birds will eat seeds if seedheads are left on the stems.
