Datura innoxia

Also known as Thorn Apple or Angel’s Trumpet, Datura has enormous, white, trumpet shaped blooms that open in the evening and wither by morning. Great addition to a moon garden to support night time pollinators. Flowers are loved by hawkmoths and bees. The plant is big and showy, mounding and sprawling. Loves heat and sun. Low to very low water. Prefers well drained soil. Blooms all summer until the first frost. Grown as an annual in zones 7 or 8 and lower, but reseeds from large bristly seedpods. All parts of this plant are toxic and should not be ingested.
