Good groundcover with white blossoms and edible fruit. Takes on a great red fall color. Spreads by runners readily. The fruit ripens in late spring or early summer. They are much smaller than commercial strawberries but maybe the most delicious of the wild fruits. Drought-tolerant once established. Host to 66 species of butterflies and moths in our area. Hardy to zone 3.
