Deciduous, large shrub about the size of a lilac. Covered in sweet yellow blossoms that provide an early nectar source for bees. Produces peas that are great for poultry and wildlife. Great for hedgerows, wind breaks, chicken yards, and erosion control. Nitrogen fixer. Tolerant of drought, wind, and deer. Low maintenance. Can spread in ideal conditions. Hardy to zone 3.
